Business Help Line Now Available
The Greater Boston Employment Collaborative has created a free and confidential help line that connects businesses with trained, experienced staff from human service agencies, state agencies, and workforce development professionals.
Businesses may have disability-related questions after hiring and onboarding new staff, or questions may arise as a worker develops a new disability (either temporary or permanent).
Businesses can now dial 1-855-484-GBEC (4232) toll-free to ask questions such as:
- How can I simultaneously improve productivity and create a disability-friendly workplace?
- I have an employee with a specific disability. Where should I go for more information and resources?
- How can I successfully navigate a workplace change for staff with disabilities?
Business calls will be directed to a trained Collaborative member with specific experience to match the request. We are committed to providing a match and a response within two business days.
In the initial months we are publicizing the service to businesses that have some connection to Collaborative members. This project is possible through the effort and investment of a wide variety of area organizations.
